I am an early PhD student in the Ecosystem Biogeochemistry Lab interested in terrestrial carbon storage and its interactions with hydrology.
My current work is also in the Remote Sensing and Geospatial Analysis Laboratory where we are developing carbon storage model that utilizes LiDAR derived digital elevation models to generate a fine-scale characterization of the landscape surface and identify wetland areas. This approach is helps identify cryptic wetlands that are often under forested canopy and store large amounts of carbon in their soils.
